Stan Platis (ACT)

Stan Platis has been involved in the real estate industry for over 18 years.
Stan was first elected to the Council of the Real Estate Institute of the ACT in 1999. In 2001 Stan was elected Deputy President and in 2002 was elected as REIACT President a position from which he retired in February 2006. He still to this day is on council with REIACT.

Stan is a Director of the Independent Property Group. Awards received by Independent from REIACT are Agency of the Year (Corporate) 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. 2007 again saw them win the REIACT Agency of the Year (corporate), along with awards for excellence in the following categories: Communication, Innovation, education & training, newcomer of the year & salesperson of the year. The Independent Property Group was the first inductee into the REIACT Hall of Fame.

The Independent Property Group won the inaugural REIA National Residential Agency of the Year Award in 2006 and repeated this win in 2008, along with a win in the Communications category. Stan was personally honoured for his tireless work in the community by winning the REIA Community Service Award at the National Awards in 2007.

In addition to this, Independent Property Group was awarded the coveted Employer Of The Year award in 2006 and 2007 at the ACT Training Excellence Awards, as well as the prestigious award for Excellence in Training in Property Services in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 at the Australian National Training Authority Awards, held on behalf of the Australian Government and the Department of Education, Science and Training.
